Simply put, your eligible paycheck is available up to 2 days before your regular payday. It’s a free, automatic feature we offer so you can pay bills, manage expenses, or earn interest on your money sooner.
For example, if you normally get paid on Friday, you’ll now see your paycheck in your account as soon as Wednesday.

No. Early direct deposit is a free, automatic feature that comes with our Spending Account. As long as you’re eligible for early direct deposit, there’s nothing stopping you from getting paid early.

As long as some of your direct deposit goes into your Spending Account and you receive your money early, it’ll show up early in all your accounts.
You can split your direct deposit using our form.

In most cases, you can set up direct deposit to your Ally Bank Spending Account in minutes right from our direct deposit page .
For all accounts: If you’re setting direct deposit up from your employer or payment provider’s website, use our routing number (124003116) and your account number. If your payment provider needs a direct deposit form, you can download one .
It may take 1-2 pay cycles before your new direct deposit takes effect.

Log in to your account and check your transaction history. If you see “Early Direct Deposit 💰” it means you got your direct deposit early, and future direct deposits from that payment provider should also start coming in up to two days early.
You can also customize a deposit alert with your expected direct deposit amount and get notified when your paycheck hits your account.

Yes. We allow up to 8 early direct deposits per account per statement cycle, and each deposit must be $10,000 or less.
If you don’t get your deposit early, expect it to arrive on your regularly-scheduled payday.

It depends. If we can’t process your direct deposit early, it could be because:

Your deposit type isn’t eligible (like a transfer between bank accounts or a deposit that’s not from a qualifying employer, business or government program)

Your payment provider doesn’t submit your deposit early

You reached the transaction or monthly deposit amount limit

Yes. You will need to set-up direct deposit with your new payroll provider. You may be able to set-up your direct deposit right from our direct deposit setup page .
