Invest Disclosures

FDIC-Insured Sweep Program

Our clearing firm, Apex Clearing Corporation, offers Ally Invest customers the ability to participate in its FDIC-Insured Sweep Program (the “Program”). If you are enrolled in the Program, Apex will “sweep” uninvested cash from your Ally Invest brokerage account into and out of an insured deposit account opened by Apex at one or more participating banks (“Program Banks”). You will not be paid interest on cash balances in the Program. A current list of Program Banks is available on Apex’s website at apexfintechsolutions.com/legal/disclosures/banksweep-bank-list .

Your swept cash balances are eligible for what is known as “pass-through” deposit insurance, meaning that, while they are held at a Program Bank, they will be insured up to the FDIC coverage limit at that bank as if you were the depositor, rather than Apex. Whenever your funds are swept back into your brokerage account (for example, to pay for a securities purchase), they won’t be covered by pass-through deposit insurance, but they will be protected by SIPC up to applicable SIPC coverage limits.

Apex will try to keep your Program funds under FDIC coverage limits by spreading them across multiple Program Banks if they would otherwise exceed the limit at any one bank. You should understand, however, that if you have funds on deposit at a Program Bank apart from the Program, those non-Program funds will still count toward your FDIC coverage limit at that bank, but Apex will not consider them when determining whether to spread your Program funds to other Program Banks.

Certain conditions must be satisfied for pass-through deposit insurance coverage to apply. For more information, please review the APEX FDIC-INSURED SWEEP PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS and your Customer Agreement .

Neither Ally Invest nor Apex is an FDIC-insured bank, and the FDIC’s deposit insurance only covers failure of insured banks, such as the Program Banks.

Ally Invest securities products are not insured by the FDIC, are not deposits, and may lose value.
